Helping Hands Volunteer Registration

Welcome to the new Helping Hands Volunteer Registration Site!  In order to register, you will be required to create a user name and password which will allow you to log back into your account and make any necessary changes to your registration.  You will need to complete the following steps after clicking to register:

  1. Enter your email address
  2. Click the option - "No, I have not registered on your site before"
  3. Click "Sign in to Account"
  4. Enter your Password
  5. Enter your First Name
  6. Enter your Last Name
  7. Enter your Department
  8. Enter your ML #
  9. Enter your Phone Number
  10. Click "Create Account"
This year’s move-in is scheduled for Wednesday, August 22, and Thursday, August 23. We expect the high-traffic times to be between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., so we encourage volunteers to schedule their shifts during this period. We ask that volunteers work a 3 to 4-hour shift but if this is not possible, we certainly appreciate any amount of time you can help.

As a Helping Hands volunteer you will greet students, assist with directions, answer questions, provide water, and help unload vehicles.

Hall openings are as follows.  The halls listed in red are the halls where the most help is needed.  Please consider this when registering.

Wednesday, August 22 - Calhoun Hall, Stratford Heights, Dabney Hall, Turner/Schneider Halls
Thursday, August 23 - Siddall Hall, Daniels Hall, Campus Recreation Center

Plan to attend the "All Hands" meeting on Thursday, August 9, from 1:00- 2:00 p.m. in the Tangeman University Center, Great Hall. At that time, volunteers will meet with their hall coordinators to review the hall opening plans and new volunteers can pick up their Helping Hands t-shirt. The t-shirts for this year will be the same as last year. We ask that repeat volunteers wear their shirt from last year in support of the university’s sustainability initiatives.

In appreciation for your efforts, all volunteers and coordinators will receive a free lunch at CenterCourt or MarketPointe @Siddall on the day you work and a free day pass to the Campus Recreation Center on a day of your choice.

Employees must have approval from supervisor if volunteering during scheduled work time.

Thank you for volunteering.  You will receive a confirmation letter with your assignment via email in August.
